Lovelock Design
Work by Jana LovelockA little about me…
I’m a budding Web and Graphic Designer with experience in HTML, CSS, and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as a strong foundation in web design principles and graphic design techniques. I thrive in collaborative environments, contributing meaningfully within team settings, and ensuring the delivery of polished and effective design solutions. I am also committed to staying updated with industry trends and technologies, driven by a curiosity to explore new tools and techniques. I am eager to leverage my expertise in web and graphic design while continuously learning and growing in a dynamic professional setting.
I am a big fan of trying new restaurants and have loved exploring Austin’s food scene (my current fave is Un Mundo De Sabor, you have to try the tres leches). Knitting has become my most recent obsession and it’s hard not to buy every gorgeous skein of yarn I come across.
Some of my web design work
Fable Forger is an app for authors to store their work and organize it by chapters, characters, locations, or any other characterization. The app uses indexDB to store the information in the user’s browser so they can access it again and again. This design has a fun fantasy flair that allows the author to get lost in their creation.
Tiny Hearts is an instagram page created to provide resources, community, and grief support for women who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. Take a look at the brand style guide as well.
Trisomy 18 is a matter near and dear to my heart, and it was an honor to create a page for an fictitious non profit to benefit the study of this genetic condition. The focus here was to create something reverent and beautiful for these babies and their families.
This project for an imaginary motor company was a great opportunity to work with databases and create a beautiful and functional site and explore CRUD functions and interactions. While this isn’t the prettiest site I’ve made, (and the content is just silly) I’m very proud of the backend functions I was able to create. Since some of them are restricted, feel free to browse the github repository too.
